Learn · HaritBhasha

Grow awareness, one classroom at a time.

HaritBhasha is SmartFarmAnywhere's learning programme - the language of green: harit (हरित) means green and bhasha (भाषा) means language. We help schools, colleges, teachers and curious minds see how food grows - and how a little technology can help it grow sustainably.

Students in a classroom writing notes and reading a tablet of pH, EC, TDS and temperature readings beside a small hydroponic garden, while their teacher points at the plants

Words that inspire us

Four lines we teach by

The lines that guide us - and what each one means for HaritBhasha.

If you ate today, thank a farmer.
So our talks begin with where food comes from - the soil, the water, the seasons and the farmer behind every meal.
Farming: a demanding profession, full of potential, built to last.
So we show students that farming can be a future - science, sensors and enterprise.
Feeding the world, caring for the Earth.
So students learn to grow food with fewer resources - tracking water, nutrients and harvest side by side.
Sow the seeds of tomorrow, harvest hope.
So we help students build real projects - today's learners, tomorrow's growers - and the future depends on how they grow.

What students learn

Science they can touch - and eat

One project brings several subjects together.

  • Plant science
  • Water & nutrient cycles
  • Sensors & electronics
  • Coding & data
  • Sustainability
  • Teamwork

Who it's for

  • Schools - science clubs, tinkering labs, and middle and high school (grades 6-12)
  • Colleges and universities - engineering, agriculture and environmental science
  • Teachers and professors planning student projects
  • Housing societies, residents' associations and gated communities - such as CHS and RWA in India
  • NGOs and community groups
  • Agri-entrepreneurs, farmer groups and cooperatives - including FPOs in India - hands-on training for growers
  • Enthusiasts, makers and individuals (18+ years)

How it works

From first conversation to first harvest

  1. 1

    Tell us about your class

Age group, subject and how much time you have - use the form below.

  2. 2

    We suggest a project

Matched to your students, your timetable and your budget.

  3. 3

    Build it together

Materials, guidance and sessions in person or online, while students build.

  4. 4

    Share the harvest

Students present what they grew - and what they learned along the way.

Coming later - Student kit: a simplified, open learning kit that students can wire, program and grow with.

FAQ

Your questions about HaritBhasha

For teachers, institutions, housing societies and curious learners.

What's the difference between Basics, Pro and Workshop?

Basics is free and self-paced - tutorials, guides and articles, plus awareness talks on request. Pro is a guided project that a teacher or professor runs with their students over several sessions. A Workshop is a one-off, hands-on session for a school class, a group or individuals who sign up.

Is it really free - and what do Pro and Workshops cost?

HaritBhasha Basics - tutorials, guides, articles and talks - is free. HaritBhasha Pro projects and Workshops carry a service fee that covers materials or hands-on kits and our time - we tell you the amount on request. It depends on the number of participants and the project: tell us about your class or group in the form and we'll send a clear quote, including any applicable taxes, with no obligation.

Can I join a workshop on my own?

Yes. Register your interest with the form (you need to be aged 18 years or above) and we'll add you to a group near you. Each workshop runs once there are enough participants, and we'll email you the date and fee first. Schools can request one for a whole class or section.

Do participants need any prior knowledge?

No. We match every session to the age group and experience - from a first look at how plants grow to sensor and coding projects for engineering students.

Online or in person - and outside your city?

Basics and project guidance work online, anywhere. In-person talks and workshops depend on where we can reach - tell us your city in the form and we'll let you know.

Will you collect information about students?

No. We work through teachers and institutions, never directly with students. We share photos of a class only with the school's written permission - and we never name or tag students online.
