How it works

Water goes up, roots drink on the way down

Every grow system recirculates the same water, so nothing drains away.

Vertical Tower

  1. A small pump in the base reservoir lifts water to the top of the column.
  2. It trickles down the inside of the tower, over the roots at every port.
  3. Gravity brings it back to the reservoir, ready to go round again.

NFT Channels

  1. A thin film of water flows along gently sloped channels, past bare roots.
  2. The upper roots stay in the air, so they get plenty of oxygen.
  3. The water drains back to the reservoir and goes round again.

Dutch Buckets

  1. A drip line feeds nutrient water to each bucket, a little at a time.
  2. Each plant has its own bucket with room for big roots.
  3. Extra water drains down a sloped line back to the reservoir.

Watching over all (Smart)

  1. With the Smart version, PulseKit sits on the reservoir and watches your water around the clock.
  2. Readings show on the controller and in the free HaritLogix app.
  3. If something drifts, you get an alert - before your plants feel it.

Growing media

No soil - just clean, inert support for roots

Rockwool

Spun basalt fibre. Holds moisture and supports seedlings while they root.

Coco coir

pH-neutral coconut fibre. Airy, and naturally resists pests.

Perlite

Expanded volcanic glass. Helps drainage and keeps roots aerated.
