Smart farms for people, planet, and food.

Sustainable, smart hydroponic growing solutions for homes, rooftops, and commercial farms.

The current situation

People. Planet. Food.

The sustainability challenge of our time.

Feeding a growing, city-dwelling world is getting harder - and the strain shows up on every plate.

  • Growing population

8.2 billion people today, 9.7 billion by 2050 and a peak near 10.3 billion in the mid-2080s1. Consumption of farm and fish products is set to grow another 13% by 20342.

  • Urban density

68% of people will live in cities by 20503 - where the only free space is often a balcony or a rooftop.

  • Climate volatility

Heatwaves, droughts, floods and erratic rains can wipe out a season's harvest in days.

  • Clean-food demand

Families want fresh food grown without pesticides - and want to know where it comes from.

  • Food miles

In mega cities like Mumbai or New York, fresh greens can travel hundreds - even thousands - of kilometres to reach a plate. About 1 in 3 bites of food is lost or wasted4.

  • Water scarcity

Farming uses about 70% of the world's freshwater5, while 2.1 billion people still lack safely managed drinking water6.

  • Tired soil

Up to 40% of the world's land is degraded7. Heavy fertiliser and pesticide use can wear out soil and seep into groundwater.

  • Global food crisis

Around 2.3 billion people faced moderate or severe food insecurity in 20248.

Our vision

GlocalThink global.
Grow local.

A global problem, answered close to home. We call it glocal: small, smart farms that grow fresh food right where people live.

More food, less water - right where people live.

  • Up to 90% less water for leafy greens9 - the same water recirculates.
  • No soil to wear out - roots grow in clean, inert media.
  • Nutrients recirculate - far less runoff into soil and groundwater.
  • Grown metres from the kitchen - not hundreds of kilometres away.
  • Little or no pesticide - a protected, monitored setup keeps most pests out.
  • Harvests through more of the year - far less exposed to the weather.

The system

Body, brain and nervous system

Our answer comes in three parts - because a hydroponic farm works like a living thing.

UrvaraBox Vertical Tower unboxed on a balcony: the white tower on its reservoir, with nutrient bottles A and B, pH-down, a measuring cup, pH and EC meter pens, a test chart, net pots, rockwool cubes, a pump and a plug-in pump timer

Farm hardware - the grow kit

The structure that holds your plants, roots and water.

A farm in a box: frame and reservoir, pump with timer, net pots, growing media, seeds and nutrients.

PulseKit

Smart kits

The smart controller

Watches your water around the clock and knows when something is off.

A sealed, weatherproof controller that checks your water's pH and nutrient strength (EC) and shows them on its own display.

Add sensors for water temperature, air and water level.

Comes with every Smart kit.

3 The nervous system

HaritLogix

Free

The app

Carries the signals from your farm to you, wherever you are.

Plain-language alerts like “pH is rising, add a little pH-down” - no confusing charts.

Check on your farm from anywhere the moment something drifts, then adjust the pH or nutrients in a few simple steps.

Free with every Smart kit.

About the app →
  • Designed for local conditions - from desert heat to cold winters
  • Seeds, nutrients & growing media in the box
  • Assembles by hand - no plumbing tools
  • Free HaritLogix app with every Smart kit

How it works

From box to harvest

  1. 1

    Unbox

Everything arrives flat-packed with a step-by-step picture manual. Think furniture assembly, not a plumbing project.

  2. 2

    Plant

Set the included seeds in the growing media, then fill the reservoir with water and the starter nutrients.

  3. 3

    Relax

With Smart, PulseKit watches your water and HaritLogix pings your phone if something drifts. With Basic, the manual shows you quick, simple checks.

  4. 4

    Harvest

Pick fresh greens and herbs right where you live - no soil, no mess.

What you can grow

Your kitchen, freshly picked

Leafy greens and herbs grow in every kit. Tomatoes and chillies need Dutch Buckets; strawberries suit the Vertical Tower.

  • Lettuce
  • Spinach
  • Basil
  • Mint
  • Coriander
  • Pak choi
  • Kale
  • Cherry tomatoes*
  • Chillies*
  • Strawberries†

* Dutch Buckets · † Vertical Tower - best with grow lights or in cooler weather

Most of us live where there's no garden - just a balcony, a terrace or a rooftop. We started SmartFarmAnywhere to make those spaces grow food: kits you can put together in an afternoon, and a controller that does the worrying for you. We're opening pre-bookings first so we can build alongside our earliest growers.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Do I pay anything to pre-book?

No. Pre-booking is free - it just reserves your place. We'll email you the launch price, and you only pay if you decide to buy.

When is the launch?

Soon - we're finishing the last steps now. Everyone on the pre-booking list hears the date first.

Do I need gardening experience?

No. Our kits are designed for real homes and real beginners. Each one comes with seeds, nutrients, growing media and a picture manual - and with a Smart kit, PulseKit tells you when the water needs attention.

What's the difference between Basic and Smart?

Both are the same complete grow kit, and both come with a pump timer that keeps nutrient water flowing to the roots on a set schedule. Smart adds PulseKit, which watches your water around the clock and alerts your phone through the free HaritLogix app. With Basic, you check the water yourself, using the simple steps in the manual.

What does PulseKit measure?

The numbers that matter most in hydroponics, such as pH (how acidic the water is) and EC/TDS (how much nutrient is in it). The final set of sensors is confirmed at launch. You see the readings on the controller's display and in the HaritLogix app.

Do I need grow lights?

Only if your space gets little direct sun - an indoor corner, or a shaded or north-facing balcony. Grow lights are an optional add-on for both Basic and Smart.

How much space do I need?

UrvaraBox is sized for a balcony or a sunny windowsill. The Vertical Tower grows 30 plants in roughly the footprint of a large pot.

Where do you deliver?

We'll confirm delivery cities at launch. Tell us your city in the pre-booking form - it helps us plan where to start.
